Responsibilities include: hiring and supervising a crew of 6, cost estimating, material(s) purchase, building and installation of sets, maintenance of set, strike/load-out, and shop maintenance. STRONG proficiency in the following areas: CAD and manual drafting, carpentry, welding, rigging, scenic construction techniques and production scheduling. This position tends to be our primary welder.

Applicants should have superior knowledge of costume construction, significant costume administration experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

SOUND DESIGNER – MANAGER HIRED
Responsibilities include: Designing the sound plots for all four productions, Designing, recording/editing sound effects as requested by the director of each show, Consulting with the directors about all artistic/sound choices, working with the MSMT Production Manager with regard to budgets, attending all production meetings, and attending all technical rehearsals. Strong troubleshooting skills.

SM JOURNEYMAN- NON AEA HIRED
Responsibilities include: Assisting PMS and ASM with scheduling and running rehearsals, produce daily rehearsal schedules and reports, fitting schedules, as well as all of the running paperwork for the production crew. Qualifications are to have a good sense of humor, strong organizational, leadership, and management skills, the ability to work well with people, and to function calmly under pressure. Earn 14 EMC points.

STAGE OPERATIONS/DECK CREW

DECK CHIEF OF STAGE OPERATIONS HIRED
Responsibilities include: hiring and supervising 5 crew members, A.T.D. at Theatre, coordinating with the 6 member SM team, stage set-up, loadin’s, strikes, maintenance of current show, rigging, act as Rail manager and running four large-scale musicals.  Op’s crew also works in the Scene Shop on an as needed basis. Experience with supervisory experience, demonstrated strong communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, thorough knowledge of stage carpentry and counterweight stage rigging. Earn 14 EMC points.

WARDROBE

WARDROBE SUPERVISOR – HIRED
Responsibilities include: hiring and supervising a 5 person crew, costume load-in and strike for each show, costume maintenance and laundry, fostering positive actor relationships and maintaining current paperwork. Assisting the costume shop on an as needed basis with all areas of costume construction and alterations.  Experience with specialty makeup and prosthetics a plus. Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and strong management skills required. Must have sewing experience.

WIG STYLIST JOURNEYMAN – HIRED
Responsibilities include: Wigs-build, alter, style and maintain all hairpieces for 4 large-scale musicals. Experience with specialty makeup and prosthetics a plus. Work as dresser for all shows. Costume load-in and strike for each show, costume maintenance and laundry, fostering positive actor relationships and maintaining current paperwork. Assisting the costume shop on an as needed basis with all areas of costume construction and alterations. Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and strong management skills required. Must have sewing experience.
