Arts Administration Fellow
Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT) is in search of an Arts Administration Fellow to work and learn under the MSMT senior staff during the post season of the 2023 Season. This position is temporary and supervised by the
Development Director with the majority of tasks in the Development Department. The Arts Administration Fellow will also assist other MSMT senior staff with other ongoing projects. This position is perfect for a student or professional returning to work.

Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
- Assist the Artistic Director with projects as needed
- Assist with acknowledgment of donations and appeals to patrons
- Assist with the digitization of records and maintenance of the company calendar
- Serve as part of the setup team for MSMT Events
- Welcome guests to the Administrative Office and Creative Studios
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidates will have:
- High School diploma
- Expert attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent computer/technology skills, especially in Google Suite, Word, Excel, and social media platforms
- Superior organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
- Driver’s License preferred; consistent access to transportation to/from work
- Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Have a friendly, warm, positive, respectful, and professional attitude
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful working environment
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, walking, and climbing
Work Week and Hours
- 9:00 to 5:00, Monday – Friday. Weekend days as agreed
- Hour’s negotiable
Compensation
- $18.00 an hour
- This is a non-exempt hourly position
