Performers’ Bios – Concert

MICHELLE BRUCKNER was last at MSMT as choreographer for South Pacific and as Babette in Beauty and the Beast. She made her Broadway debut in Chicago the Musical. She received critical acclaim from Variety Magazine, with theatre reviewers across the United States and Europe when she played Sheila in A Chorus Line in the Broadway Tour of America and the European Tour. As a performer, Michelle has appeared in: The Full Monty (Pam); Jekyll and Hyde; Anything Goes; Brigadoon; Follies; Smokey Joe’s Cafe; Mame; Cats; La Cage Aux Folles; and many others. As a director/choreographer, she has worked Off-Broadway with the French Theatre Company, Deffractions, Carousel Music Theater in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and Lincoln Academy in Damariscotta, Maine. She has been choreographing the musical for the Golden Stage Society for the last four years.

CURT DALE CLARK is pleased to enter his 6th year as Artistic Director of Maine State Music Theatre. Prior to taking the artistic helm of MSMT, he appeared in numerous productions for the theatre. Appearing at MSMT since 2005,  his favorite roles include Javert in Les Miserables; The Beast in MSMT’s original Beauty and the Beast; Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone; Franz in The Producers; Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar; The UPS Man in Legally Blonde; Harold Hill in The Music Man; and The Tenor in The Irish And How They Got That Way (co-pro with Portland Stage). While at MSMT, Curt has directed productions of Fame; Godspell; A Grand Night For Singing; Tommy; and co-directed last year’s Always…Patsy Cline. This year, Curt has also directed Cinderella and  I Love a Piano and co-directed Beauty and the Beast.

KAREN K. EDISSI (formerly K.K. Preece) was last seen at MSMT as Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street. This marks Charis’ 28th appearance at MSMT, and she is thrilled to be here to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of her home away from home. Some favorite Maine State roles include Louise in Always, Patsy Cline; Ms. Adelaide in Guys and Dolls; Rose in Gypsy; Georgie in The Full Monty; Madam Thenardeir in Les Misérables; Jolene in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels; Eulalie in The Music Man; Mama Morton in Chicago; Ms. Hannigan in Annie; Maggie in 42nd Street; and Paulette in Legally Blonde. Most recently she appeared as Rosie in Mamma Mia! at Walnut Street Theater and Riverside Theatre, and in The Irish and How They Got That Way at the Fulton theatre. In her 20+ years as a member of Actor’s Equity Association, she has performed all over the country.
