EVENTS STAGE MANAGER- Non-Equity

  • Position(s): 1
  • Dates: Tues May 16 – Sun Aug 27
  • Pay: $825.00 a week, salaried position
  • Housing: Shared housing provided.  Housing has basic furnishings, is collegiate style, with shared bedrooms
  • Travel: Not provided
  • Location: Brunswick, ME

Primary Responsibilities

Essential functions include (but are not limited to):

  • Work as the primary Stage Manager for the day-to-day operations for all TYAs, concerts, special events, and the MSMT Singers
  • Coordinate schedules with the Director, Choreographer, Costume Shop, Costume Designers, etc.
  • Call the show’s cues which include automated scenery, lights, follow spots, sound, projections, orchestra, and actors
  • Create and distribute contact sheets, rehearsal schedules, scripts, scores, props list, costume list, quick change list, preset list, run sheets, rehearsal, and performance reports, etc.
  • Tape out rehearsal space based on the ground plan and dimensions of the performance space
  • Record all blocking
  • Run rehearsals for all understudies and replacements
  • Create SM call script and all necessary paperwork
  • Act as SM/CM for all offsite performances and technical rehearsals
  • Act as SM/CM organizing and transporting casts for any offsite events, TYA productions, concerts, and MSMT singer events
  • Drive MSMT vehicles transporting casts to and from any offsite events, TYA productions, concerts, and MSMT singer events
  • Maintain and resupply equipment, supplies, and stock items
  • Work main stage shows as needed
  • Attend/assist with all run-throughs, backstage prep, all technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
  • Participate in MSMT events as needed and/or required
  • Adhere to all MSMT policies and procedures including Covid 19 Guidelines & Safety protocols
  • Drive MSMT vehicles and box trucks
  • Have a positive and respectful attitude
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful working environment
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Production and MSMT Annual Staff

Qualifications

The following skills and experience are required:

  • Strong knowledge of technical theatre and experience working on musicals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Suite, and other applicable software
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • Detail oriented; able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Car preferred but not required
  • Must be fully vaccinated and boosted from the Covid-19 virus

  • Pay: $825.00 a week, salaried position
  • Housing: Shared housing provided.  Housing has basic furnishings, is collegiate style, with shared bedrooms
  • Travel: Not provided
  • Location: Brunswick, ME

Primary Responsibilities

Essential functions include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager in the day-to-day operations for all main stage productions
  • Assist creating and distributing contact sheets, rehearsal schedules, scripts, scores, props list, costume list, quick changes list, preset list, run sheets, rehearsal, and performance reports, etc.
  • Tape out rehearsal space based on the ground plan and dimensions of the performance space
  • Assist with recording blocking
  • Assist with rehearsals for all understudies and replacements
  • Update the calling scripts and paperwork as needed
  • Maintain and resupply equipment, supplies, and stock items
  • Attend/assist with all run-throughs, backstage prep, all technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
  • Participate in MSMT events as needed and/or required
  • Adhere to all MSMT policies and procedures including Covid 19 Guidelines & Safety protocols
  • Drive MSMT vehicles and box trucks as needed
