Maine State Music Theatre Presents Film Series at Curtis Memorial Library

Maine State Music Theatre will present its fifth season of Teaser Tuesdays, a series of films related to the upcoming main stage season of musicals, beginning May 2, 2023, in the Morrell Meeting Room of Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick at 6:00 p.m.

The highly anticipated movie screenings are free and open to the public and are followed by a talkback with MSMT’s Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark. Clark will compare the films to the stage musicals and take questions from the audience. The evenings also offer free popcorn and water and includes a trivia quiz with two tickets to an MSMT performance this summer as the prize.

The series begins May 2 with the 1953 version of Titanic starring Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb. The second film on May 9 is the 1969 is the Oscar winning The Buddy Holly Story with Gary Busey in the title role. 9 to 5 starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda follows on May 16. And for Something Rotten!…? Well, something exciting, that’s for sure. Stay tuned!
