The Revival Campaign

Through the generous support of our patrons and the community, Maine State Music Theatre was able to overcome the hardship of 2020 – during which we shuttered our theatre – enabling us to produce live theatre in 2021. But our “come-back” year proved to be challenging, with Covid-19 protocols, unanticipated costs associated with changing mandates, and lower than expected ticket sales. We made the difficult decision to end our mainstage season early to ensure the financial health and stability of the theatre Victoria Crandall started 63 years ago.

Now, as as we plan for our first full season since the summer of 2019, our team is aiming to get back to what we do best – bringing Broadway to Brunswick. But after two years with very limited income, we need to get creative and resourceful to maintain the professional production quality our audiences have come to expect.

That is why we have launched The Revival Campaign. We are setting an ambitious goal of $400,000 to help get our company back under the lights of the Pickard stage at full force. Like so many other theatres, we’ve been existing in survival mode for the past two years. With your help, we can shift our focus to producing musical theatre with the same passion we’ve been known for since 1959.

Your support allowed us to weather the storm. Now, we’re hoping you’ll help us return to the Pickard stage for a full and bright 2022 season.
