WARDROBE SUPERVISOR
- Position(s): 1
- Dates: Tues May 16 – Mon August 28
- Pay: $900.00 a week, salaried position
- Housing: Shared housing provided. Housing has basic furnishings, is collegiate style, with possible shared bedrooms
- Travel: Not provided
- Location: Brunswick, ME
Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
- Supervise a staff of 4
- Work wardrobe run crew for each show
- Work wardrobe run crew for TYA performances and Concerts as assigned
- Organize and maintain costumes during the run of the shows
- Create wardrobe run crew tracks
- Assist with the costume load-in and strike for each show
- Prepare costumes and dressing areas for dress rehearsals, photo calls, and performances for assigned production
- Be familiar with the show, the costume plot, and costume pieces for assigned production
- Maintain costumes during the run of each production which includes daily and weekly laundering of costumes, accessories, and undergarments; ironing and all repairs
- Assist in shifting all props and scenery as assigned
- Work in the Costume Shop as assigned under the supervision of the Costume Shop Manager
- Attend/assist with all run-throughs, backstage prep, all technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
- Maintain budgets
- Attend all production meetings
- Participate in MSMT events as needed and/or required
- Adhere to all MSMT policies and procedures including Covid 19 Guidelines & Safety protocols
- Drive MSMT vehicles and box trucks
- Motivate with a positive and respectful attitude
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful working environment
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Production and MSMT Annual Staff
Qualifications
The following skills and experience are required:
- Experience working wardrobe crews on large musical productions
- Basic sewing and clothing repair skills, utilizing both hand and machine stitching
- Familiarity with tools and equipment associated with wardrobe responsibilities (i.e., washing machines, dryers, steamers, irons, etc.)
- Knowledge of clothing care techniques and products
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other applicable software
- Able to manage teams and foster both team and individual growth among employees
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Detail oriented; able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task
- Driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Car preferred but not required
- Must be fully vaccinated and boosted from the Covid-19 virus
ASSISTANT WARDROBE SUPERVISOR
- Position(s): 1
- Dates: Tues May 23 – Sun August 27
- Pay: $825.00 a week, salaried position
- Housing: Shared housing provided. Housing has basic furnishings, is collegiate style, with shared bedrooms
- Travel: Not provided
- Location: Brunswick, ME
Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
- Assist the Wardrobe Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the Wardrobe department
- Work wardrobe run crew for each show
- Work wardrobe run crew for TYA performances and Concerts as assigned
- Assist with organizing and maintaining costumes during the run of the shows
- Assist creating wardrobe run crew tracks as needed
- Assist with the costume load-in and strike for each show
- Prepare costumes and dressing areas for dress rehearsals, photo calls, and performances for assigned production

WARDROBE STAFF
- Position(s): 3
- Dates: Tues May 23 – Sun August 27
- Pay: $15.00 an hour
- Housing: Shared housing shall be provided for a fee of $75.00 a week. The housing fee shall be deducted weekly from the employee’s paycheck. Housing has basic furnishings, is collegiate style, with shared bedrooms
